Renal Dietitian Specialist

This position provides comprehensive nutrition services and education to dialysis patients and their caregivers in a clinical setting, focusing on maximizing nutritional well-being and supporting patients with end-stage renal disease.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patients' nutritional status and develop individualized Medical Nutrition Therapy plans, including meal plans and nutrition education.
- Collaborate with the medical team to review lab results, monitor nutritional status, and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients and caregivers, using evidence-based methods and materials.
- Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
- Document patient progress and nutrition-related information in the medical record, adhering to federal, state, and local regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in nutrition, dietetics, or a related field.
- Registered Dietitian status with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
- State licensure in Maryland or the state where the facility is located.
- Minimum of two years' experience in clinical nutrition as a Registered Dietitian, with a preference for experience in dialysis settings.
