Job Purpose
Responsible for conducting routine inspections of facilities and ensuring compliance with relevant environmental permits.

Monitors and evaluates equipment and operations on a daily basis; identifies issues, diagnoses equipment malfunctions; oversees water wells, lift stations, treatment facilities, and more.

This position entails the following duties and others as assigned:

  • Conducts routine inspections of water and wastewater facilities; ensures compliance with environmental permits.

    Monitors and evaluates equipment and operations daily; identifies issues, diagnoses equipment failures; oversees water wells, lift stations, treatment facilities, etc.

  • Operates dewatering equipment; maintains cleanliness of the facility at all times - performs cleaning and maintenance as required.
  • Manages inventory by ordering supplies as necessary.
  • May oversee the work of Field Technicians in Training; establishes priorities, assigns duties, schedules work, and provides training as needed.
  • Conducts daily analyses of effluent samples; implements necessary adjustments to maintain compliance with permit limits; prepares sampler for required regulatory samples.
  • Maintains daily logs of data for regulatory reporting.
  • Assists with scheduling and executing routine preventive maintenance on equipment.
  • Aids in the repair of water and wastewater lines, installation of new lines, and other tasks as directed.
  • Inspects and maintains pumps, motors, valves, and other equipment to ensure operational efficiency, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
  • Removes motors and pumps for repair, and fabricates parts as necessary.
  • Addresses and investigates customer service inquiries.

Education
High School Diploma or GED in General Studies

Certifications
TX- TCEQ Water C
TX- TCEQ Wastewater C
Valid Driver's License

Physical Requirements
Field-Based Role

Work Experience


Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in water and/or wastewater system operations, maintenance, customer service, with preferred experience operating heavy equipment.
