We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Superintendent to join our team at Kiewit Corporation. As a key member of our Southeast District, you will be responsible for overseeing all operating departments, including Owner relations, project personnel administration, direction of suppliers and subcontractors, and overall project safety, quality, planning, operations, cost control, and training.

• Technical responsibilities:
  • Review projection and financial plans.
  • Update 90-day discipline schedules and review progress with staff.
  • Review ST&S and equipment costs with staff.
  • Evaluate equipment needs with CM.
  • Conduct weekly department meetings. Assess weekly LDR reviews and commodity curves with the department.
  • Lead weekly scheduling meeting.
  • Observe and critique operations and work with the superintendent to maximize efficiency.
  • Attend different crew safety meetings and critique with the superintendent.
• Administrative responsibilities:
  • Maintain daily diary for record-keeping purposes.
  • Review daily costs.
  • Prepare monthly section cost report.
  • Coordinate work with other co-workers on the job.
  • Perform other duties as required by the Project Manager.

• Must have hands-on field experience in supervisory-specific construction disciplines (Drainage, Earthworks, Structures, Concrete, etc.).
• Extensive experience overseeing water infrastructure and dam projects, strongly favoring candidates who have successfully self-performed the work.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of cost management processes, planning, and scheduling.
• Knowledge of contract drawings and other documents on typical projects.
• Must possess strong organizational and time management skills.
• Exhibits integrity & ethical behavior in all things; understand Kiewit's ethics policy of knowing and acting within policies and practices.
• Willingness, ability, and enthusiasm for travel and/or potential relocation.
• Must be a self-starter and highly motivated, wanting to do what it takes to get the job done.
• Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments.
