Job Summary

Columbine Health Systems is seeking a skilled Lead Cook to join our team at our Windsor, Colorado facility. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing delicious and nutritious meals for our residents.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare meals, desserts, and snacks for all diets, adhering to state, federal, and company standards.
  • Assist in planning healthy menus and utilizing food surplus, ensuring economical and timely food production.
  • Serve meals that are palatable and presentable, meeting the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Ensure the kitchen and dining areas are clean and well-maintained, adhering to health code requirements.
  • Estimate and prepare food supplies to meet serving portions, minimizing waste and excess.
  • Assist with covering cooking shifts as needed, ensuring seamless service to our residents.
  • Participate in continuing educational programs to stay up-to-date on the latest culinary techniques and procedures.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, with up to one month of related experience or training.
  • Able to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Knowledgeable of dietary techniques and procedures, with a focus on quality and presentation.
