Job Summary: This role is responsible for maintaining plant equipment and property, ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and mechanical equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing preventive maintenance requirements, maintaining inventory supplies, and preparing maintenance records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Remove and replace defective parts, using hoists and hand and power tools.
- Adjust and calibrate functional parts of devices and control instruments.
- Monitor and control downtime, informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques.
- Fabricate repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
- Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories, checking stock levels and anticipating needs.
- Prepare mechanical maintenance reports, collecting and analyzing information and trends.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment, complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer skills.
- Experience working on machinery, electrical, plumbing, welding, carpentry, and boiler applications.
- Ability to troubleshoot from operation manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and electrical schematics at a basic level.
- Hand tools and power tool experience.
Working Conditions: Some exposure to extreme degrees of heat, noise, dust, and dirt. All employees must be fully vaccinated.
