Job Summary

Global Integrity Realty Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall maintenance of our physical properties, providing a safe and pleasant environment for residents, and performing routine maintenance tasks in common areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate daily with the Community Manager to discuss property needs and receive assignments.
  • Conduct regular property walks to identify and report any observed problems, including roof and lighting issues.
  • Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing work.
  • Perform painting and touch-up work in common areas, including inspecting areas that require paint and advising the Community Manager.
  • Complete daily work orders as scheduled.
  • Perform casual labor tasks, such as lifting and moving heavy items, and follow safety procedures.
  • Perform minor maintenance repairs and replacements in areas of carpentry, electrical work, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, painting, flooring, and other building repairs, as long as a permit is not required.
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Utilize new equipment and follow safety procedures prior to using it.
  • Manage cleaning supplies and equipment to maintain a clean and professional interior of the buildings.
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks based on a schedule created by the Community Manager, if applicable.
  • Provide 24-hour emergency maintenance service as scheduled.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalency preferred; technical background from university or vocational sources is a plus.
  • Competence in basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and HVAC.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through email, phone, and our online platform.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in general grounds or building maintenance.
  • General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry trades.
  • Ability to operate tools and equipment related to facility maintenance.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. following appropriate safety procedures.
  • Ability to lift, pull, and push materials and equipment up to 50 lbs. occasionally to complete assigned job tasks.
