Job Description

The New School for Social Research is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill a faculty position in its Clinical Psychology program. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a research laboratory that produces impactful and significant empirical work aligned with the mission of the clinical program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a research laboratory that produces empirical work that is impactful, significant, and in line with the mission of the clinical program.
  • Support clinical training of doctoral students as core clinical faculty.
  • Teach four classroom courses, with 2 graduate and 2 undergraduate courses, and dissertation supervision.
  • Contribute to departmental service and participate in a collegial departmental atmosphere for students and faculty.
Requirements
  • Graduated from APA or PCSAS accredited program (or international equivalent).
  • An active program of research with strong potential for excellence.
  • Previous experience supervising students in a research setting.
  • Commitment to a collegial departmental atmosphere for students and faculty.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Licensed or license-eligible in the state of New York.
  • Previous success in procuring federal grant funding.
  • Previous experience supervising students in a clinical setting.
Work Mode

This is an on-campus position, and faculty are expected to work on-campus due to the nature of the work in accordance with the University policies as set forth in the Full-Time Faculty Handbook.
