Professor of Psychology

Touro University New York is seeking a highly qualified Professor of Psychology to join our faculty. As a key member of our academic team, you will be responsible for teaching, advising, and mentoring students in our Master of Arts program in General Psychology.
Key Responsibilities- Teach a minimum of 6 courses per academic year, developing and delivering high-quality curriculum to our students.
- Prepare and distribute course materials, including syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts, to ensure a comprehensive learning experience.
- Engage in independent research and scholarly activity, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the field of psychology.
- Advise and mentor students, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their academic and professional goals.
- Recruit and attract high-quality students to our program, promoting the value of our academic offerings.
- Participate in faculty meetings and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures.
- Doctor of Psychology or Doctor of Philosophy degree required.
- At least 5 years of teaching experience and a significant research history, with a strong track record of peer-reviewed publications.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop positive relationships with students, faculty, and colleagues.
- Competence in technology as an educational tool, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to working in multicultural and urban education settings.
Touro University New York offers a competitive salary range of $109,600 to $137,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
