ABOUT US
The Irving Harris Foundation (IHF) is dedicated to improving the well-being of children, families, and communities by promoting human potential, social equity, and creative expression. As a strategic grantmaker, the Foundation allocates approximately $13 million each year to support initiatives in early childhood development, mental health for infants and young children, reproductive health and justice, arts and culture, and Jewish values both in the United States and Israel. Our grants are designed to tackle fundamental issues, leverage both public and private resources, provide technical support, and encourage collaboration through partnerships.
IHF is committed to advancing Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) within our philanthropic practices. For us, DEIB represents an ongoing journey rather than a finite goal, as we continuously strive for more equitable policies, systems, and communities.
As we plan for the future, the Foundation has made the decision to conclude its operations in 2032.
For further details about the Irving Harris Foundation, our DEIB initiatives, and our planned conclusion, please visit our website.
