Internal Controls Auditor

We are hiring an Internal Controls Auditor to join our H&H Quality Department in New Haven, CT. This position involves conducting internal audits for ongoing design and construction projects, ensuring compliance with quality control documents and systems.
The selected candidate will prepare audit reports, develop knowledge of our quality management systems, and assist the Quality Manager in developing quality control monitoring protocols.
H&H is a trusted full-service infrastructure engineering firm with over 137 years of experience. We offer intricate and innovative engineering solutions, managing projects from study and planning phases to design and construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of our quality management systems and approved client/project-specific quality plans
- Conduct regular audits for active projects to ensure compliance and quality assurance
- Prepare detailed reports on project quality audits and recommend corrective actions or system improvements
- Develop and maintain training programs and procedures related to quality audits and engineering oversight
- Coordinate subconsultant audits and findings with the project manager and Quality Manager
- Identify opportunities for business process improvements to enhance quality and project delivery
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business management, or computer science
- Zero to three years of experience in quality management or QA/QC environments
- Excellent technical writing skills and experience preparing technical reports and memos
- Familiarity with engineering project delivery and quality management systems
- Able to train and coordinate additional engineering staff for auditing activities
- Collaborate with the Quality Manager to update and improve quality control processes based on audit observations and findings
Compensation and Benefits:
