Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our TouchID Sensor Design and Integration team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and launching next-generation Sensing Technologies for Apple products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop sensors for fingerprint biometrics in Apple products
  • Lead multi-functional integration discussions and coexistence assessments
  • Validate module design and feature at all nodes of the supply chain
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to develop, characterize, validate, and integrate TouchID sensors into Apple products
Requirements:
  • Strong EE fundamentals and demonstrated experience in all phases of circuit design and development
  • Circuit design and layout experience
  • Experience with test equipment (oscilloscope, meters, etc) and circuit simulation (SPICE)
  • Experience creating engineering design, requirement, and specification documents
  • Proficiency in MATLAB and Python scripting tools
  • Experience with statistical analysis of production data (JMP, Tableau)
  • Experience in FEA, simulation, modeling tools (Comsol, ANSYS, Maxwell)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Cadence experience
Education and Experience:
  • BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience
Additional Requirements:
  • Pay and Benefits: At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
