**Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled Quality Control Technician to join our team. As a Quality Control Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Conduct visual and dimensional inspections to ensure that our products meet Farwest Steel's standards, industry standards, and customer requirements.
  • Research and write non-conformance/returned goods authorizations.
  • Perform formal First Article Inspections and record data on internal and/or customer-provided documentation.
  • Develop and maintain written procedures for Farwest Steel, including QWIs (Quality Work Instructions), SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), and Quality Manual Revision.
  • Conduct weld inspections, including visual, magnetic particle, and liquid penetrant inspections.
  • Provide training for operators and other inspectors, and provide instructional classes for prints.

**Requirements**

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Print reading and ability to make mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to use both verbal and written English effectively, with courtesy and tact, in dealing with co-workers, customers, and vendors.
  • Proficient use of PC (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Three plus years of inspection experience.
  • Familiarity with Romer Arm, FARO Arm, or other CMM. Planar equipment is a plus.
  • Weld inspection experience.
