Financial Analyst

Waste Connections, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Controller to join our team. As a key member of our financial leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and profitability.

• Perform monthly financial close functions, including preparation of financial statements and reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
• Conduct monthly narrative analysis of significant financial variances to budget and forecast.
• Develop and maintain a three-month financial forecast.
• Review and analyze rate structures and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Communicate financial information effectively to business counterparts and stakeholders.
• Manage the flow of accounting data to and from remote facilities.
• Assist with quarterly Sarbanes Oxley compliance and review.
• Participate in the annual financial budget process.
• Provide training to non-financial personnel on internal control compliance, accounting procedures, and financial statement review.

• BS/BA degree in Accounting.
• 1-3 years of accounting experience, required.
• 2 years of public accounting experience strongly preferred.
• Proven excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Competitive salary: $85,000-$100,000 annually, DOE.
• Bonus: 0-10%.
