Process Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Process Engineer to join our dynamic Adsorbents team at our Newark, NJ manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, evaluate, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
  • Implement process improvements through the application of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other continuous improvement techniques.
  • Work directly with R&D on scale up of new product development.
  • Provide technical support during process start-up, including troubleshooting and problem resolution.
  • Analyze process data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on process performance, improvements, and recommendations to management.
  • Ensure all processes comply with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Develop and implement process control plans and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent product quality.
  • Work closely with production, R&D, quality assurance, and other departments to align process improvements with overall business objectives.
  • Lead or participate in cross-functional project teams to address complex issues and drive initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, PMP) are a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in process engineering within a manufacturing or industrial/chemical environment.
  • Contract manufacturing and pilot to scale-up processing experience helpful.
Working Conditions:

Work may involve exposure to manufacturing environments, including noise, heat, and potential hazards. Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and must be used as required.

Travel to other facilities or vendor locations required.
