Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team at Wilson School District. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our school facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and neat appearance at all District locations.
  • Assume specific housekeeping duties such as vacuuming and cleaning, dust mopping, dusting, wet mopping, cleaning glass, washing and cleaning exterior walkways, waxing, buffing, painting, stripping, and shampooing.
  • Operate heavy machinery and equipment as required.
  • Perform minor maintenance tasks related to electrical, mechanical, plumbing, painting, and equipment maintenance.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Prior experience as a custodian or in a related field.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good physical health and ability to work without supervision.
