Job Summary

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Coding Compliance Specialist to maintain organizational compliance with coding and medical record documentation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical coding principles and regulations, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and audit medical records to ensure compliance with coding and documentation standards
  • Conduct internal chart audits and encounter form reviews to identify areas for improvement
  • Assist with teaching providers and staff on coding and reporting best practices
  • Support third-party billing staff in areas related to coding and collections

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and certification in medical coding (CPC, CPC-H, CCS, CCSP, ART, or RHIT)
  • Minimum one year of experience working with electronic health records and specialty coding
  • At least two years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified in the job description

Working Environment:

The Coding Compliance Specialist will work in a well-lighted, ventilated environment with minimal exposure to blood-borne pathogens or hazardous chemicals. The ideal candidate will be able to handle a fast-paced work environment with multiple time-sensitive competing demands.
