Job Summary:

As a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our Restaurant Depot warehouse, driving customer satisfaction, and meeting projected bottom-line profit. You will oversee personnel issues, supervision, and maintain a positive company image by providing excellent customer service.

Maintain company standards by ensuring employees are aware of expectations, are properly trained, and are held accountable for their actions.


Key Responsibilities:
• General operations of the warehouse.

• Develop strong business relationships with customers by maintaining open communication and resolving problems efficiently.

• Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures, including safety, personnel, security, and inventory control.

• Review financial and operational reports, taking necessary actions based on results.

• Direct subordinates to manage warehouse operations, including safety, sanitation, inventory, merchandising, receiving, stocking, and shipping.

• Define service standards and operational mission, communicating them to employees and monitoring activities to meet branch goals.

• Maximize sales opportunities by ensuring high levels of customer service, proper workforce scheduling, and meeting budgetary guidelines.

• Manage selection, annual performance appraisals, and professional development of management-level personnel.

• Directly supervise and manage department managers, coaching them on employee relations issues and company policies.

Maintain communication with Corporate Offices to ensure compliance with company policies and state and federal laws and regulations.


Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (preferred) with a minimum of 4 years of management experience in food service or grocery distribution.

Background in P&L, inventory control, merchandising, hiring/training staff, front-end operations, cash control, payroll, security/loss prevention is mandatory.

Strong leadership skills, capable of running a high-volume warehouse operation, with excellent communication, organizational, and people management/training skills.

Commitment to company values and strong customer orientation.


Work Environment:
The work is mostly performed standing/walking, requiring the ability to stand/walk for up to 4 hours without a break. Physical labor is infrequent, but there may be times when merchandise needs to be moved or an area cleaned. The warehouse environment is moderate, with cold areas (freezer) and hot areas (damages area), and industrial vehicles (forklifts, Hilo) moving material throughout the warehouse.
