About the Role

Job Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for delivering direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation). The successful candidate will also oversee other assigned team members and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide population-specific care in accordance with BORN regulations and professional standards of care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide highly professional and technical nursing care to assigned patients.
  • Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, develop individualized care plans, and implement evidence-based interventions.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, including progress notes, medication administration, and vital signs.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, communicate effectively, and address concerns or issues.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A graduate degree from an accredited school of nursing.
  • A current MA RN license.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience, preferably in an emergency department setting.
  • Strong interpersonal communication, problem-solving, and conflict management skills.
  • Evidence of continued education and professional development, including certifications such as ACLS, PALS, and CPI.
Work Environment

The RN will work in a fast-paced emergency department environment, exposed to communicable diseases, hazardous materials, and unpleasant elements. They must be able to navigate complex situations, manage multiple priorities, and maintain a calm demeanor under pressure.
