We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Line Specialist to join our Nutraceutical team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our manufacturing lines.
Key Responsibilities:- Feed products to conveyors, hoppers, or other feeding devices, and prepare filled containers for packaging and shipping.
- Replenish packaging supplies, such as containers, labels, and shrink wrap, to maintain a smooth production process.
- Set up machinery with the correct containers, labels, and products to ensure accurate and efficient production.
- Operate machinery with the ability to make minor adjustments or repairs, and start, stop, or regulate the speed of conveyors as needed.
- Inspect materials, products, and containers at each step of the packaging process to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Record information, such as batch codes, time, and date packaged, to maintain accurate records.
- Contribute to department team incentive goals by meeting productivity and quality standards.
- Participate in cross-training and demonstrate competency on all essential job functions of the bottling department.
- Support company policies, procedures, and activities, and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and talk or hear.
- The employee must exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include near acuity, far acuity, accommodation, color vision, and field of vision.
