Senior Product Engineer

As a Senior Product Engineer at Millennium Space Systems, you will play a critical role in the development and delivery of avionics hardware products. This position requires a unique blend of technical expertise and leadership skills, as you will be responsible for leading integrated product teams and driving development cycles of new products.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience in PCB/PCBA development, manufacturing, and testing. You will be responsible for maintaining accountability of technical development, budget, and schedule across products, as well as communicating and advocating for products to programs and systems engineers.
Key Responsibilities- Lead integrated product teams spanning disciplines and departments
- Maintain accountability of technical development, budget, and schedule across products
- Communicate and advocate for products to programs and systems engineers
- Reduce design cycle time and drive integrated product team design cycles to facilitate iteration speed
- Identify and measure key performance indicators and improve on-time delivery rate of products
- Production expertise for avionics products and increase first pass yield of products
- Reduce discrepancy report lifetime and lead design for manufacturing initiatives for PCB/PCBA electro-mechanical avionics boxes
- Mentor to other Product Engineers and provide technical development mentorship to peer Product engineers
- Degree in electrical, computer, or other relevant engineering
- 5+ years developing and manufacturing electromechanical assemblies
- Extensive knowledge of PCB/PCBA development, manufacturing, and testing
- Proficiency with Altium Designer or similar electrical design tools
- Strong project management skills and outstanding communication and presentation skills
- Ability to lead through influence and prior experience leading integrated product teams for space qualified hardware
