Senior Space Systems Engineer

As a Senior Space Systems Engineer at Booz Allen Hamilton, you will have the opportunity to combine your technical skills with big picture thinking to make an impact on national security space missions. You will work with our team and the U.S. Space Force to develop and deploy the next generation of resilient capabilities to deliver critical information to our warfighters. Your client will trust you to develop Technical Requirements Documents (TRDs), Interface Control Documents (ICDs), technical assessments, verification plans, and digital mission and system models for satellite systems and payloads.
Your Responsibilities- Perform systems engineering or integration on national security space programs with 10+ years of experience
- Lead a team for development of technical specifications, ICDs, and integration for satellite systems
- Communicate and establish collaborative relationships with government clients and contractor teammates
- Have a Secret clearance and a Bachelor's degree
- Experience in the Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR), defense weather, and tactical ISR mission areas
- Experience with OPIR payloads, space-based weather payloads, satellite busses, and satellite subsystems
- Experience leading a team using a Model-Based Systems Engineering approach
- Knowledge of DoD 5000.01 and 5000.02
- Knowledge of Agile Methodologies
- TS/SCI clearance and a Master's degree in an Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics field
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD).
