Job Overview

The Learning Experience #126 seeks a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Assistant Director. This position plays a critical role in shaping the growth and development of both children and teachers within our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • People Leadership
    • Identify, schedule, and interview qualified teacher candidates to build a strong team.
    • Conduct regular classroom observations, evaluations, and provide constructive feedback to motivate and encourage learning.
    • Manage the team to ensure seamless execution of The Learning Experience curriculum in alignment with brand standards.
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of teachers.
    • Address employee concerns in a fair and objective manner, and implement recommended solutions.
    • Manage classroom ratios and ensure adequate staffing levels.
    • Oversee the maintenance of accurate employee records and files in compliance with state licensing regulations.
  • Customer Focus
    • Lead tours for prospective families, highlighting the unique features and benefits of our curriculum and teaching staff.
    • Regularly communicate with families regarding student progress and address any concerns they may have.
    • Implement strategies to exceed customer expectations and build strong relationships with families.
    • Ensure the physical environment and health/safety standards meet or exceed local and state licensing regulations.
    • Manage relationships with state licensors and conduct regular center evaluations.
    • Respond to accidents and incidents in a timely and professional manner.
    • Manage medication administration and conduct regular emergency safety drills.
Requirements
  • Minimum of two years of experience in center leadership or management, preferably with The Learning Experience.
  • Proven track record of success in education program management, with a focus on curriculum development and implementation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of state licensing rules and regulations, with the ability to ensure compliance.
  • CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.
  • Ability to meet state-specific guidelines and requirements.
