Position Overview

As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide essential nursing care within the Pediatric Plastic Surgery department. Your expertise will contribute to the well-being of our young patients and their families.

Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Delivering direct nursing care in line with established protocols.
  • Implementing and overseeing patient care plans.
  • Monitoring, documenting, and communicating patient conditions effectively.
  • Coordinating care across various disciplines for optimal patient outcomes.
  • Executing physician and nursing orders diligently.
  • Assessing and planning for patient discharge needs in collaboration with the healthcare team.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:
  • BLS Provider certification obtained within 30 days of hire or transfer.
  • Registered Nurse license from the Texas Board of Nursing is required.

Education:
  • A diploma from an accredited nursing school or a bachelor's degree in a non-nursing field with an active RN license and enrollment in an Alternate Entry Masters of Science in Nursing Program.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Nursing degree
  • At least 2 years of pediatric nursing experience
  • Strong multitasking abilities
  • Commitment to patient care
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Experience in plastic surgery is advantageous
  • Background in ICU, NICU, or ER settings
