Sterile Processing Specialist

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to support the Fort Wayne VA Medical Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper handling, cleaning, and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Must have a practical knowledge of theory, principles, practice, and techniques of asepsis to prevent the spread of infection.
- Must have a working knowledge of standard procedures for steam autoclaving, chemical sterilization, and High-Level Disinfection (HLD) systems.
- Must be able to interpret and record results of all sterilization tests.
- Must have a good working knowledge of surgical supplies, instruments, equipment, and their specific cleaning, sterilizing, and storage requirements.
- Must possess a broad knowledge of all types of surgical and clinical instrumentation.
- Certification as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or higher by International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM/HSPA).
- Graduation from a nationally recognized CRCST training program with a minimum of 2 current years of documented work in the field.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
