Job Summary

As a Surgical Instrumentation Specialist at Parkview Health, you will be responsible for the planning and management of surgical instrumentation and equipment. This includes ordering, inventory management, and documentation of all clinical records of care. You will also be responsible for adhering to clinical, regulatory, and industry standards for sterilization and maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement strategies for inventory management and ordering of surgical instrumentation and equipment.
  2. Collaborate with the Perioperative Services Leadership to ensure that all clinical records of care are accurate and up-to-date.
  3. Maintain strict adherence to all clinical, regulatory, and industry standards for sterilization and maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment.
  4. Provide excellent verbal and written communication skills to ensure effective collaboration with the healthcare team.

Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  2. Certification from IAHCSMM as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) within two years from date of employment and maintain certification throughout employment.
  3. One-year minimum experience as a CST or CRCST preferred. Previous experience as a Surgical Technologist preferred.
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of general computer skills and applications, and ability to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking skills.
  5. Ability to lift 50 pounds.
