The Senior Manager for Patient Experience Data & Strategy within the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research (PCOR) team operates autonomously while collaborating closely with a Director or Senior Director. This role is pivotal in designing and implementing patient experience data (PED) evidence research aimed at enhancing product registration, access, reimbursement, and clinical practices in conjunction with HEOR Strategy and various other departments such as Clinical Development & Operations, Regulatory, and Commercial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive literature and landscape analyses to pinpoint significant patient concepts for the development of disease conceptual frameworks.
- Assess and evaluate existing Clinical Outcome Assessment (COA) tools to ensure their suitability for intended purposes.
- Lead the formulation and integration of COA measurement strategies into clinical development initiatives, providing support for clinical trial programs, including protocol/SAP content creation, results interpretation, and Clinical Study Report (CSR) development.
- Oversee the design and execution of PED research utilizing diverse methodologies, including qualitative research and psychometric evaluations, while modifying or creating fit-for-purpose COAs.
- Prepare documentation for regulatory and reimbursement submissions that focus on PED and patient-centric endpoints.
- Devise a strategic scientific communication plan that encompasses the submission and presentation of research findings in peer-reviewed journals and at medical or methodological conferences.
- Contribute to the establishment of PED standards and best practices, along with educational resources to promote the integration of patient perspectives in development programs across AbbVie.
- Manage the publication process, including creation, review, approval, submission, and presentation of research in peer-reviewed journals and at relevant conferences.
The incumbent is expected to adhere to all AbbVie internal protocols and comply with applicable regulatory standards while fostering collaborative relationships with key external thought leaders to drive innovation through industry research partnerships.
