Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Accounting Leader to oversee the daily management of accounting operations for Transit Technologies, a software enterprise. This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities including Accounting, Financial Reporting, Tax Compliance, Treasury Management, Billing, and Accounts Receivable, in collaboration with our parent company’s accounting team.

Key Responsibilities

The following duties are essential to the role:

  • Prepare and compile monthly financial statements for the organization.
  • Oversee the month-end closing process and other accounting activities.
  • Manage customer contract entries in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Handle daily cash management and banking needs while supporting cash flow forecasting.
  • Act as the administrator for banking and credit card operations.
  • Possess a solid understanding of US GAAP, with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Supervise and account for the expense reporting and control processes.
  • Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes by collaborating with business leaders and the FP&A team.
  • Provide necessary information to external auditors during financial statement reviews and tax return preparations.
  • Communicate effectively with all management levels regarding financial performance.
  • Foster strong working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Perform ad hoc accounting tasks as required.
  • Experience with revenue recognition is advantageous.
Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:

  • A BA/BS degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting is required; CPA designation is preferred.
  • A strong, independent personality with exceptional planning, budgeting, organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to build and maintain collaborative relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • The capability to complete accounting tasks within established deadlines.
  • A proactive approach and a desire to thrive in a team-oriented environment, with strong time and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software is preferred.
  • The ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • Strong skills in researching and explaining complex transactions and their business implications.
  • A high degree of integrity to manage confidential information.
