Role Overview:

We are seeking a talented Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Systems Engineer to play a vital role in the design and execution of our Space Vehicles. The ideal candidate should be flexible, inventive, and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment dedicated to spacecraft product development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop sophisticated space-based attitude determination and control system (ADCS) subsystems
  • Work alongside interdisciplinary teams and partners to surpass customer expectations
  • Create comprehensive technical documentation for GNC subsystems
  • Develop algorithms, write flight software, and perform integration and testing
  • Evaluate performance data for design validation and operational phases
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers on electro-mechanical subsystems
  • Identify and enhance control systems in a production setting
  • Prepare and present reports on testing outcomes and metrics

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proficiency in control theory, state estimation, and space vehicle architecture
  • Practical experience in precision state estimation and control of space vehicles
  • Familiarity with spacecraft flight disciplines including structures, propulsion, avionics, and more
  • Strong grasp of orbital mechanics
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to work independently

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in complex program environments and collaborative settings
  • Expertise in the complete system engineering lifecycle for space vehicles
  • Knowledge of state estimation, attitude determination, orbit determination, and related fields
  • Experience with aerospace standards and test plan formulation
  • Prior collaboration with government entities and US Security Clearance is advantageous

Education & Work Experience:

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering
  • 4-8 years of relevant professional experience
