Children\u2019s Mercy Hospitals and Clinics is seeking a board-certified pediatrician to join our Division of Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology. The successful candidate will work with a multidisciplinary team to provide clinical, educational, and research programs in pediatric clinical pharmacology and toxicology.

The GOLDILOKs clinic is a pediatric precision medicine clinic that collaborates with researchers, physicians, geneticists, and other subspecialists to assist in elucidating medication dilemmas. The clinic sees patients who take multiple medications and have concerns about interactions, adverse reactions, or lack of expected benefits.

The ideal candidate will be board certified in Pediatrics, possess a robust interest in developing an academic career, and display an interest in pursuing further education and research in Clinical Pharmacology and Precision Therapeutics.

Responsibilities include:

  • Working within the multi-specialty division on the evaluation and management of patients within the inpatient and outpatient GOLDILOKs consultative services
  • Participating in divisional Quality Improvement projects that involve clinical metrics
  • Establishing relationships within and outside the institution for research and service promotion regarding Clinical Pharmacology
  • Participating in division research protocols
  • Participating in the education of rotational trainees and Clinical Pharmacology fellows
  • Exploring investigator-initiated research projects that can become internally or externally funded
