Law Enforcement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Law Enforcement Specialist to join our team in Roseburg, OR. As a Patrol Deputy, you will be responsible for enforcing the laws of the state and county, providing service of court documents, and responding to emergency situations.
Job Requirements
To be eligible for this role, you must possess a current Oregon DPSST law enforcement certification and have at least two years of full-time employment with a law enforcement agency. You will also be required to pass an intensive background investigation and successfully complete a comprehensive background investigation, psychological evaluation, and physical testing.
Job Duties
- Enforce state and county laws, provide service of court documents, and respond to emergency situations.
- Operate emergency response vehicles, stop vehicles and pedestrians for enforcement of state traffic and criminal laws, and inspect vehicles.
- Serve arrest and search warrants, effect the arrest of suspects, and write reports.
- Use a computer, firearm, and non-lethal weaponry with high accuracy, and operate a two-way radio system.
- Process large quantities of information, recognize problems, and identify solutions.

Estimated Salary
The estimated salary for this position is $31.10 - $39.72 per hour, based on the location and job requirements.

Requirements

Selection Process
The selection process will include a comprehensive background investigation, psychological evaluation, and physical testing. Applicants may be disqualified after unsuccessful completion of any phase of evaluation.
Work Environment
The work environment is primarily performed in the field and from an emergency vehicle. The position requires bending, color identification, gripping with hands and fingers, hearing alarms, hearing voice conversation, keyboarding, and ability to lift prone (unwilling or unconscious) persons.
