Patient Care Technician

At Fresenius Medical Care North America, we are committed to providing exceptional patient care and services. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our mission to improve the lives of patients with kidney disease.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist healthcare members in providing patient-specific education on dialysis treatment and vascular access management.
- Conduct vital sign measurements and report any unusual findings to the nurse supervisor.
- Perform vascular access cannulation and report any difficulties or unusual findings to the nurse supervisor.
- Administer heparin as delegated or as allowed by state law.
- Initiate dialysis treatment according to prescribed orders and monitor patients' response to therapy.
- Obtain and record pre- and post-dialysis evaluations, including weight and vital signs.
- Center for Medicaid/Medicare Services (CMS)-approved state and/or national certification or High School diploma or G.E.D.
- Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting or related facility preferred.
- Continued employment dependent on successful completion of the FMCNA dialysis training program and successful completion of CPR certification.
