We are currently seeking a dedicated and career-focused Senior Systems Engineer to support a significant U.S. Government initiative within the National Capitol Region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process change requests and troubleshoot issues as directed by various components, including the Justice Security Operations Center (JSOC), while managing requests related to proxy services, DNS, SSL, and firewall configurations.
  • Oversee high-volume SMTP relay operations, handling over 1 million messages daily.
  • Administer the Proofpoint mail security platform.
  • Identify and resolve mail delivery challenges across multiple security layers.
  • Monitor and manage mail routing through an LDAP directory.
  • Investigate user connectivity problems utilizing log analysis.
  • Collaborate with partner organizations to conduct thorough IT investigations.
  • Work alongside partners to modify IT system policies.
  • Supervise and manage the Infoblox DNS system along with general BIND/DNS functionalities.
  • Employ the Xymon monitoring system to detect potential issues and investigate problems.
  • Configure Xymon and develop new monitoring modules.
  • Implement Dynatrace and SNMP-based monitoring solutions.
  • Maintain archival logging for network systems.
  • Deploy a Zscaler Zero Trust solution for TIC 3.0.
  • Manage IP address allocations using IPAM.
  • Administer Unix/Linux operating systems.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with Zscaler Zero Trust solutions.
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
  • A minimum of seven years of experience in a relevant technical environment.
  • Hands-on experience with configuring and troubleshooting network proxies and firewalls.
  • Experience in the design, installation, maintenance, and management of network systems.
  • Ability to evaluate complex hardware, software, and peripheral equipment for large-scale networks.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing network performance.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving intricate issues to ensure high-quality network transmission.
  • Experience in managing user accounts and maintaining system security protocols across platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement and manage network policies, procedures, and standards.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must possess an active Top-Secret clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain stationary for more than 50% of the time.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with peers and senior personnel.
  • Frequent operation of a computer and other office equipment.
  • Regular communication with co-workers, management, and clients, which may involve delivering presentations.
  • Occasional mobility within the office to access files and equipment.

The projected compensation range for this position is $143,600-$239,300. Various factors may influence the final salary, including contract wage determination, relevant experience, skills, geographic location, education, and certifications. Additionally, ManTech offers a comprehensive benefits package, which may include health insurance, life insurance, paid time off, holiday pay, short-term and long-term disability, retirement savings, and professional development opportunities.
