Quality Assurance Specialist

Gem Manufacturing produces precision deep drawn metal products, stampings, and mechanical assemblies. The company utilizes vertical transfer and progressive presses to achieve complex geometries from all formable metals.
The Estimated Salary for this position is $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
The Quality Control Technician prepares inspection plans and instructions, selects sampling plan applications, analyzes and solves problems, prepares procedures, trains inspectors, and performs audits.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing company quality control, technical, and customer satisfaction activities.
- Implementing and following inspection programs and instructions related to manufacturing objectives.
- Inspecting and approving/rejecting new and existing parts, including receiving inspection, 1st article, process inspection, and final inspection operations.
- Operating all gages, software, vision systems, and related SPC methodologies.
- Leading teams with manufacturing and engineering for efficient transfer of data to assist in troubleshooting activities.
- Conducting root cause analysis and corrective action activities using techniques including statistical analysis.
- Documenting and enforcing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within the ISO system.
