About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lifestyle Director to join our team at Mayflower Place Nursing and Rehabilitation. As a key member of our Activities Department, you will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing a wide range of programs and activities that promote the overall well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development and Implementation: Plan, schedule, and lead recreational programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents.
  • Budget Management: Successfully manage the Lifestyle budget, ensuring that programs and activities are delivered within allocated resources.
  • Special Events: Plan and execute special events that enhance the quality of life for our residents.
  • Volunteer Program: Develop and implement a volunteer program that includes recruitment, training, and recognition of volunteers.
  • Team Leadership: Hire, train, schedule, supervise, direct, and evaluate the performance of Lifestyle program associates.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that therapeutic recreation programming meets all state, federal, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to residents, family members, and visitors.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate degree from an accredited college or university, or satisfactory completion of two years of college with a major in recreation, occupational therapy, gerontology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Two years of full-time experience in the recreation field with an adult population, preferably in an environment focused on dementia care.
  • Certifications: NCCP Certification preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills, with basic typing skills and computer knowledge, including MS Word, Excel, Publisher, and creative software.
