Job Summary

As a key member of the Vulcan Materials team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance functions and personnel at our Texas-Hondo facility. Your primary goal will be to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our equipment and facilities, while also providing leadership and guidance to our maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  2. Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance personnel to improve their skills and knowledge.
  3. Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to ensure seamless execution of maintenance and repair activities.
  4. Manage and analyze maintenance budgets and costs to ensure effective resource allocation.

Requirements:

Experience: Previous experience in managing and supervising maintenance and production employees in a similar industry.

Leadership and Management Skills: Proven ability to provide strong leadership and mentorship to employees, with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity.

Operational Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of rock crushing equipment, MSHA regulations, and engineering principles.

Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with employees, management, and external partners.

Financial Knowledge: Ability to manage and analyze financial data to inform maintenance decisions and optimize resource allocation.

Working Conditions: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on safety and compliance.
