Job Summary:

As an Ophthalmic Clinical Assistant at North Shore Defunct, you will work under the supervision of an ophthalmologist to perform various clinical studies. Your responsibilities will include measuring visual acuity, instilling ocular medications, obtaining medical and family histories, and instructing patients regarding medications and tests. You will also be responsible for coordinating patient flow, measuring intraocular pressure, and participating in telephone triage.

Requirements:
  • High School graduate or equivalent required.
  • Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (JCAHPO) certification as Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1-2 years in a ophthalmologist's office.
