Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Loan Processor to join our team at Tri Pointe Homes Holdings, Inc. as a key member of our mortgage operations department. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating the processing of mortgage loans, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines, and providing exceptional customer service to our homebuyers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review loan files for completeness and accuracy, ensuring all necessary documentation is gathered and submitted for underwriting approval.
  • Apply underwriting guidelines to ensure all applicable documentation meets regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including loan consultants, builders, real estate agents, and homebuyers, to facilitate the loan process.
  • Manage pipeline deadlines to ensure loans are submitted to critical milestones and meet purchase contract close of escrow deadlines.
  • Monitor loan files and submit change of circumstance requests as necessary.
  • Order third-party verifications, such as employment and income verification, as required.
  • Understand and adhere to all critical regulatory guidelines, including ECOA, HMDA, RESPA, and other applicable federal or state-specific guidelines.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a loan processing role, preferably in the purchase/builder business.
  • MS Office skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Encompass LOS experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in an office environment, with hybrid/remote work options available for select markets.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of underwriting guidelines, including conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, and non-QM.
  • Strong regulatory knowledge, including ECOA, HMDA, RESPA, and other applicable federal or state-specific guidelines.
