Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team at Selectek. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing structural systems for various building materials, participating in field surveys, and communicating with architects and engineers of other disciplines.

Responsibilities:

Perform analysis and design of structural systems for all types of building materials using various building codes
Participate in field surveys and document existing conditions
Communicate and coordinate with architects and engineers of other disciplines
Review and evaluate existing building structural systems
Prepare drawings using Revit and AutoCAD
Write comprehensive reports
Review construction submittals, participate in construction observation, and respond to contractor inquiries

Requirements:

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE), with a concentration in structural engineering, OR Architectural Engineering
Licensed PE
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Revit, & current industry structural engineering design software
Bluebeam
Good organizational and team skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment
Willingness to be challenged and develop new skills
Ability to obtain secret clearance

Preferred:

Experience in AT FP (anti-terrorism/force protection)
PE in VA or DC
Federal and military project experience
Project Management experience

Pay range:

$48/hour - $55/hour ($100,000 - $115,000 – could be higher depending on experience and licensure)

Term of assignment:

Temp to Direct OR Direct Hire

Pay method when direct:

Salary + 100% Paid employee medical, company HSA contributions, tuition reimbursement, gym membership and much more

Location of job:

Alexandria, VA OR Boulder, CO area

Hours and shift:

Monday – Friday, 8AM – 5PM (can be somewhat flexible as long as it's 8 hours/day) 40 hours a week; Some employees work 4 day,10 hour shifts to get off on Friday

Occasional travel (sometimes to cool places like Tokyo)
