Job Description

HTL Biotechnology is a leading biotech company that develops and produces pharmaceutical-grade biopolymers for various therapeutic areas. We are seeking a highly skilled Analytical Scientist to join our team in Nutley, NJ, USA.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing qualitative and quantitative analysis of macromolecules using advanced techniques such as HPLC, UPLC, SEC-MALS, and mass spectrometry. They will also maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, develop protocols, and prepare validation reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine analysis of macromolecules using advanced techniques
  • Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
  • Develop protocols and prepare validation reports
  • Conduct stability and activity analyses of macromolecules
  • Design and execute scientific studies with clear goals and deliverables

Requirements:

  • PhD or Master's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or Biochemistry
  • At least 2-3 years of industry experience with analyzing proteins, peptides, polysaccharides, and small molecules
  • Extensive experience with operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Liquid Chromatography (Reverse Phase, SEC), GC, and mass spectrometry instruments
  • Experience with Agilent instruments and software is strongly preferred
