Key Responsibilities:


Under the supervision of the medical director and cardiopulmonary director, the Certified Respiratory Therapist II (RCP II) is tasked with executing respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as prescribed by physicians.

Responsibilities include the assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation of care, tailored to meet the specific needs of patients across various age groups and populations.

In the absence of supervisory personnel, the RCP II may assume the role of Lead RCP, overseeing departmental operations during their shift.

This position is per diem, requiring less than 19 hours of work per week during night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM). Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and during vacation rotations is essential.



Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements:

  • State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License is mandatory.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification upon hire and maintenance of certification is required.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) is essential.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 60 days of hire and maintenance of certification.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification is preferred.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 60 days of hire and maintenance of certification.
  • An Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
