Your leadership will be vital in ensuring optimal operational efficiency while upholding safety and quality benchmarks.Key Responsibilities:
Leadership: Oversee, mentor, and inspire production teams to achieve high performance and maintain a positive work atmosphere. Effectively distribute tasks to ensure balanced workloads and productivity. Provide support and conflict resolution to team members as needed.Production Management: Supervise production workflows to guarantee adherence to established protocols and quality measures. Collaborate with departments such as maintenance, quality assurance, and logistics to enhance production efficiency. Enforce safety regulations to ensure a secure workplace for all staff.Resource Allocation: Assist in planning production schedules and efficiently allocate resources, including workforce, machinery, and materials, to meet production goals. Identify areas for improvement in operational efficiency and cost management.Quality Control: Perform regular assessments of products and processes to ensure compliance with quality standards. Address any quality discrepancies promptly and implement necessary corrective measures. Work closely with the quality assurance team to uphold quality management systems.Reporting and Documentation: Keep precise records of production activities, including output volumes, downtime, and quality metrics within the production reporting system. Generate reports on production performance, highlighting trends, challenges, and improvement opportunities. Communicate production updates and concerns to management in a timely manner.Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.Execute additional duties as assigned.Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED is required.A Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Manufacturing Management, or a related discipline is preferred.Prior experience in food manufacturing or a comparable industry, with a minimum of one year in a supervisory capacity, is preferred.Skills and Competencies:
Proficient in the use of computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote) and other relevant software.Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities, with effective communication and collaboration skills across diverse teams.Comprehensive understanding of production processes, quality standards, and safety regulations within the food sector.Ability to perform under pressure and make informed decisions in a dynamic environment.Bilingual capabilities are advantageous.Supervisory Duties:
Responsible for supervising and evaluating the performance of a regular group of employees or a work unit, including contributing to hiring, disciplinary actions, and assessing work objectives and effectiveness.Work Environment:
Daily exposure to various elements such as dust, fumes, and noise. Seasonal exposure to weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and humidity.Work environment includes daily exposure to physical risks associated with mechanical equipment, forklifts, chemical hazards, and electrical hazards.This position requires frequent sitting at a desk, walking throughout the facility, lifting packages up to 50 pounds, and performing tasks that require fine motor skills and physical agility.Expectations:
