We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team at ExpressCare Urgent Care Center. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining effective patient throughput and assisting our providers with delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Document patient information into the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Measure and record vital signs
- Conduct rapid lab tests and accurately record results in the EMR
- Administer injections and perform EKGs
- Apply orthopedic splints and assist with simple medical procedures
- Phlebotomy and prepare specimens for LabCorp
- Adhere to established policies and procedures
- Attend staff meetings and complete checklists and tasks assigned within the shift
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and externship
- Certified or Registered (CMA or RMA) preferred
- Minimum one year of clinical experience in a physician's office or hospital preferred
- CPR Certification required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work 12 plus hour shifts
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for longer periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed
- Ability to travel to different locations and have reliable transportation
Work Schedule: Full-Time, 9am-9pm, 3 shifts per week with rotating weekends. All centers are open 7 days a week, including holidays.
