Role Overview:

As a Woodyard Area Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of dedicated professionals, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring the efficient production of green chips.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising and coordinating the activities of the Woodyard area staff.
  • Monitoring and managing inventory levels to balance production and replenishment.
  • Developing and implementing standard production processes.
  • Ensuring quality control processes meet company standards.
  • Improving equipment reliability and performance.
  • Managing area budget and overseeing CAPEX projects.
  • Maintaining communication with the Plant Manager to meet production requirements.
  • Identifying and resolving equipment issues proactively.

Requirements:

  • Two-year degree or equivalent experience; four-year degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the wood products manufacturing industry (Pellets, OSB, Fiber Board, Pulp / Paper).
  • Project management experience and Lean manufacturing training preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work in challenging environments.
