Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Membrane Fabricator to join our team at Veolia Water Technologies and Solutions. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating state-of-the-art membrane coating equipment, ensuring high-quality production, and meeting customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Membrane Coating Equipment: Set up, operate, and clean membrane production equipment, including chemical mixing and quality checks.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks, troubleshoot issues, and make adjustments to coating processes to ensure membrane meets specifications.
  • Chemical Handling: Handle and mix chemicals according to prescribed formulas and procedures, including strong acids, bases, and solvents.
  • Documentation and Data Entry: Accurately enter production data into databases, forms, logs, and SAP.
  • Inventory Management: Move raw materials and finished products to proper locations, and support area cycle counts and inventory control.
  • Maintenance and Calibration: Perform regularly scheduled maintenance and calibration procedures on equipment.
  • Sample Preparation: Prepare and package membrane samples for testing and quality control.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a machine operator, maintenance technician, chemical mixer/handler, or military service in a technical background, or minimum of 6 months of experience as a membrane operator.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift/handle up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: Associate's Degree in engineering, industrial technology, instrumentation, automated systems and robotics, electronics engineering technology, industrial controls and robotics, or similar technical associate's degree.
  • Skills: Familiarity with plumbing/fluid transfer basics, inventory control experience using SAP or other inventory control program, experience troubleshooting a continuous web or paper handling process, and ability to complete simple shop math calculations.
  • Equipment Operation: Trained to operate a fork truck in a manufacturing area and experience using lab equipment such as FTIR, UV-Vis, Karl Fisher, viscometer, conductivity meter, micrometer, or other similar lab equipment.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Strong communication skills and ability to learn and understand all policies, practices, and procedures.
