Key Responsibilities:
- Prioritize safety by adhering to all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations, including maintaining cleanliness and participating in EHS meetings and audits.
- Set up, operate, and maintain membrane production equipment.
- Accurately handle and mix various chemicals following established formulas and procedures, including strong acids and solvents, with proper safety training provided.
- Efficiently transport raw materials and finished products to designated areas, ensuring accurate data entry into production logs and SAP systems.
- Monitor and maintain the quality of raw materials and final products, making necessary adjustments to the coating processes to meet specifications, and conducting cell tests on membranes.
- Properly manage hazardous waste in compliance with regulations and assist in unloading and testing bulk chemical deliveries.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a machine operator, maintenance technician, or chemical handler is preferred; military experience in a technical field is also valuable.
- Willingness to work with chemicals, including solvents and acids, while wearing necessary protective equipment.
- Ability to work a rotating schedule that includes weekends, resulting in a 12-hour shift pattern.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- An Associate's Degree or formal training in engineering, industrial technology, or a related technical field.
- Experience with inventory management systems such as SAP.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment, including FTIR, UV-Vis spectroscopy, and other analytical tools.
