Highly Skilled MICU Nurse Coordinator Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our MICU team at Medical City Arlington. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care and coordinating all functions in the unit.
About the Role:
- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient-centered care.
- Participate in ongoing assessment of patient care services provided in the unit, collaborating with other members of the management team.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Support patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Contribute to employee engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
- Recommend courses of action related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.
- Manage staff scheduling and labor needs according to patient care requirements and productivity guidelines.
Required Qualifications:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 60 months of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
- Current Texas State RN license or compact license required.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree).
- BSN degree required within one year, with Magnet/Pathways Accredited hospitals requiring BSN at time of hire.
- Certification in specialty required within one year.
- Completion of charge nurse course required within one year.
- Previous ICU experience required, with two years of clinical practice in the clinical specialty of the unit preferred.
