Job Title: Physical Security Tech

Chenega Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Physical Security Tech to join our team. As a Physical Security Tech, you will provide technical and physical support for high-security areas, security equipment, and security systems in support of NSWCCD facilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct threat/vulnerability-based assessments to identify potential security risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Research and obtain information to support the Security Office in formulating and developing AT/FP assessments and reports.
  • Prepare and provide vulnerability assessments that address multiple facets of agency operations, including counterintelligence and physical security.
  • Collaborate with risk management processes, planning, training, exercises, resources, and AT/FP vulnerability assessments and program reviews.
  • Conduct security inspections of Open Storage Areas in support of recertification and provide findings to the government for validation.
  • Track and document findings, recommendations, and policy improvements.
  • Provide Threat/Vulnerability-based assessments and complete assessment yes/no checklists upon request.
  • Maintain and record documents, reports, and certification letters in support of the inspection program.
  • Support and maintain the management of administrative and programmatic requirements necessary to achieve mission requirements.
  • Complete annual company and customer-required training and timesheets daily in an online system.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in homeland security, computer science, or a related discipline preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in Information Technology, Homeland or Information Security, Security Operations, and/or Access Control.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and possess a Secret clearance.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance for the lifecycle of the project.
  • Advanced working knowledge of computer software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Working knowledge of information/physical security.
  • Ability to attend customer in-person meetings and conferences as requested.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to identify potential project risks.
  • Ability to build surveys and perform inspections.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of staff, government personnel, and management.
  • Ability to handle classified material and knowledge of document control.
  • Possess excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English written and verbal language.
  • Ability to multi-task in a high-performance-based environment.
  • Ability to self-start and work independently or as a team.
