Medical Support Specialist

At Covenant Health (Tennessee), we are seeking a skilled Medical Support Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Support Specialist, you will primarily assist providers and act as a backup for reception. Your clinical care will be provided to patients within the scope of practice defined for medical assistants and as directed by the provider.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist providers with patient care and administrative tasks
- Provide clinical care to patients within the scope of practice defined for medical assistants
- Act as a backup for reception and perform various administrative tasks
Requirements:
- Medical Terminology required
- Life Support certification required
- Certification by a nationally recognized organization which includes a competency exam
- Graduation from an accredited 2-year Medical Assistant program preferred
