We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Anton Paar QuantaTec, Inc. in the role of Electrical Engineer - New Product Development R&D. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and maintenance of our analytical lab instrumentation projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical circuits, including schematic design and hardware verification
  • Maintain the highest level of quality and ensure timely delivery of projects
  • Support project, customer, manufacturing, and service needs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine product requirements
  • Develop and verify testing methods for new and existing electronic boards and/or systems
  • Research components to resolve obsolescence issues
  • Perform root cause analysis using bench-top instruments
  • Design for and support compliance testing: CE, UL, and CSA where applicable
  • Troubleshoot any issues reported by customer support or the operations team
Requirements:
  • BS in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in device development, schematic design, and hardware verification
  • Experience in bringing up a circuit design from concept to production
  • Knowledge of analog circuit design using transistors, amplifiers, ADC, DAC, sensors
  • Knowledge of digital circuit design including inverters, logic gates, flip flops
  • Knowledge of electromagnetic compatibility
  • Experience in prototype testing
  • Basic knowledge of physical sciences
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a diverse team
Preferred Skills:
  • MS in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in precision measurement instrumentation design
  • Experience in hands-on electrical troubleshooting process
  • Knowledge of analog and digital signal processing
  • Knowledge of embedded system programming
  • Knowledge of CE including EMI and EMC and safety
  • Experience in peer review process
  • Experience in designing and verifying PCB test
  • Experience in C and/or Python scripting language
