Sanitation Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sanitation Operations Manager to join our team at the Culinary Center. As a key member of our Facilities Management Team, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of housekeeping and sanitation for the facility.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and assist with monitoring daily work schedules and/or work assignments to ensure proper staffing needs are maintained.
- Develop systems and procedures to improve department operations.
- Assist in strategic planning to meet budgetary requirements.
- Check quantities and condition of all sanitation supplies and report discrepancies.
- Manage, train, and coach staff to motivate them to work as a cohesive team.
- Communicate all relevant work information to sanitation staff and conduct disciplinary actions as needed.
- Coordinate with Facilities Management and oversee necessary departmental training and documentation.
- Monitor and maintain Environmental Service requirements and HACCP procedures.
- Coordinate facility floor-care, including stripping, refinishing, and burnishing, in accordance with identified schedules.
- Assist and supervise the management of snow removal and landscaping needs for the facility.
- Handle overlapping facility vendor interactions and issues with professionalism.
- Prioritize tasks and responsibilities as needed.
- A Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Public Health, Public Administration, Business Administration, Social Work, Psychology, or Rehabilitation Counseling.
- Two years of full-time experience in medically-oriented healthcare and medical support systems environments, including one year in an administrative or supervisory capacity.
- Or a Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in the above-mentioned disciplines and three years of full-time experience, including two years in an administrative or supervisory capacity.
- Or a satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
- Certification or licensure may be required.
- Three to five years of enhanced knowledge of food manufacturing and food production sanitation requirements, documentation, and practices.
- Detailed tasker and results-oriented.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Flexible and adaptable to change.
- Experience in high-volume industrial kitchen, hotel, or restaurant environments.
- Management experience in a union environment.
- Ability to work in a team environment with a positive attitude.
- Computer programs/software operated: Microsoft Office, Microsoft Office Teams, Safety Culture Familiarity a plus.
